Hi everyone,
We have a pretty cool special event happening for this month's MySQL Users Group meeting.
Just for this month's meeting the location is moving to the HP Lab in Rhodes so we can play with a MySQL NDB cluster. NDB is MySQL's scale-out cluster architecture, and Stewart Smith, one of MySQL's NDB code-cutters is coming up from Melbourne to play with NDB in our lab for a few days. We're hoping to put a very nice big cluster together using a whole bunch of dual-core Opteron blade servers in our lab (where we mostly do stuff with beowulf super-computing clusters).
This should turn out to be a fun night. Stewart will talk about the NDB architecture, we can play with the cluster itself, and HP is going to spring for some pizza (and maybe even a few beers).
Everyone is welcome, but I'd really love it if you could RSVP so I can make sure I get enough pizza and 'refreshments' for everyone.
For those of you that haven't been into the neutral zone before, the HP Lab in Rhodes is located on Concord Rd, right next to the Rhodes city rail station (which is easily the best way to get here), but we also have plenty of visitor parking for those that want to drive.
Feel free to email or call me if you have any questions or need more directions.
