Hello Everyone
To start off 2010 in style we'll have an internationally known MySQL guru presenting at the first meeting of the year!
I'm excited to announce that Giuseppe Maxia will be in Sydney, en passant, on his way from Italy to the Linux.Conf.Au in New Zealand and has kindly agreed to present to our group.
Giuseppe has chosen to talk about a "MySQL Sandbox, or how to easily test complex database systems in isolation". This is certainly a topic that affects all who have to keep production systems from being affected by development and testing activity and will be of interest for most of us.
Giuseppe is well versed on most MySQL technical topics and will be also happy to answer questions and discuss about this and any other topics.
Join us at the "Sydney MySQL #12" wave to meet Giuseppe and suggest topics that you'd like to discuss on the night of the presentation. To find the wave, log on to Google Wave and search for "with:public:sydneymysql". Or simply click here after you're logged on.
Giuseppe Maxia is the MySQL Community Team Lead at Sun Microsystems. He's an active member of the MySQL community and a long timer open source enthusiast. During the past 22 years he has worked in various IT related fields, with focus on databases, object oriented
programming and system administration. He's fluent in Italian, English, Perl, SQL, Lua, C, Bash, and good speaker of C++, French, Spanish and Java. He works in cyberspace, with a virtual team.
