Hello Everyone,

In the next Meetup, Andrew Boag from Catalyst IT will be sharing with us his extensive experience with Replication in MySQL and other databases. He'll be discussing different techniques and tools like: log shipping, DRDB, slony, as well as custom implementations.

Andrew Boag is the Director of Catalyst IT here in Sydney. Catalyst originated from Wellington, New Zealand, with now more than 120 staff building systems with open source tool sets in both corporate and government sectors. Andrew has a background as a Perl developer, moving more into infrastructure setup and design over the last few years. Over the course of various deployments Catalyst has had the chance to experiment with many different database replication solutions and have some conjugated thoughts on the matter.

We are starting at 5:30pm with food and refreshments as usual and presentation starts at 6pm.
